Khabar TV (Bureau): A good news may come soon for the central government employees. According to reports, the central government may announce a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance (DA Hike Update) in September 2024. The increased dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2024.
However, this increase can also be up to 4 percent, it will depend on the situation of inflation. If the government increases DA by 3 to 4 percent on the first date of September next month (7th pay commission update in hindi), then the DA received by the central employees can increase to 53 to 54 percent.
Currently getting 50% DA
Currently, dearness allowance is 50 percent of the basic salary. According to the 7th Pay Commission, there is a discussion of including DA in the basic salary, but in case DA is more than 50 percent, it will not be included in the basic salary (DA hike latest news). Instead, allowances will be increased, which also includes HRA.
