You should not tell the story of Mahabharata… Why did Om Birla say this to the BJP MP

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla: BJP MP from Bargarh, Odisha, Pradeep Purohit was asking questions during the Question Hour, when Om Birla interrupted him. Om Birla said you narrate the Mahabharata and ask questions. He said that these days the time for narrating the story of Mahabharata has passed.

Parliament Session Om Birla: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday, without naming anyone in the House, took a jibe and said that “these days the story of narrating Mahabharata is more popular here.”

He made this comment when during the Question Hour in the House, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pradeep Purohit mentioned an incident from Ramayana while asking a question related to the Ministry of AYUSH.

On this, Birla said, “Don’t narrate Mahabharata, ask questions. These days the story of narrating Mahabharata is more popular here.”

The Lok Sabha speaker did not name anyone, but on Monday, while participating in the discussion on the budget in the House, the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi had targeted the government by referring to the Mahabharata episode about Abhimanyu being trapped in the Chakravyuh.

Rahul Gandhi had accused the central government of trapping India in the Chakravyuh like Abhimanyu and said that the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India) will break this Chakravyuh.

the sixth day of the Parliament session on Monday, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi compared the budget to Mahabharata’s Chakravyuh, Rahul said- Thousands of years ago in Kurukshetra, Abhimanyu was trapped in a Chakravyuh and killed by 6 people. Another name for Chakravyuh is Padmavyuh, which is in the shape of a lotus flower. There is fear and violence inside it.

In the 21st century, a new ‘Chakravyuh’ has been created – that too in the form of a lotus flower. The Prime Minister walks with this symbol on his chest. What was done with Abhimanyu is being done with India.

Today, there are 6 people in the middle of the Chakravyuh. These 6 people are Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval, Adani and Ambani.
