This amount of money is continuously increasing, which is increasing the concern of the government… In such a situation, let us know in the news below what is the decision of the government on this.

Khabar TV (Bureau) – Bank nominee rules: Till March 2024, there are 78,000 crore rupees in the banks on which no one can claim. The Finance Ministry and the entire government have been in ‘tension’ about this for a long time. Banks have to run awareness campaigns to settle such money.

When will EMI holders get relief, this is the hope from RBI

To ensure that the mountain of unclaimed money does not keep growing and the money reaches the owner or his family, the Union Cabinet has taken steps to amend some banking laws. On Friday, the Cabinet has taken important decisions on this, the biggest change of which is to settle this money.

The cabinet has said that in this change, there can be more than one nominee for any bank account. The number of nominees can be up to 4, which is only one till now.

It is possible that claims on this entire money may never come and some money may remain unclaimed in future, so the cabinet has also given a suggestion regarding this.

The money of dividends and bonds associated with such accounts should be transferred to the Investor Education Protection Fund (IEPF). Till now only the shares of banks can be transferred in this item.

Along with this, there is talk of easing the laws related to withdrawal of money from insurance and HUF accounts. It is being said that successful nominees and simultaneous nominees will also be allowed to withdraw money from such accounts. However, a clear guideline has not been made on this yet. The laws will become more clear only when the proposal has full details.
