The crash test of Ertiga made in India was done in which it proved to be a flop. In this recent test, Ertiga got a rating of 1 star for adult safety and 2 stars for child safety (Maruti Ertiga safety features).

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga targets the family class. It has features like anti-lock braking system with EBD, airbags, seat belt reminder, rear parking camera, seat belt pre-tensioner and load limiter. Maruti Ertiga Engine and Mileage

Ertiga has a 1.5-liter petrol engine that generates 102 bhp of power and 136.8Nm of torque (Maruti Ertiga engine). It is equipped with manual and automatic gearbox.

There is also an option of CNG in it. On petrol mode, it gives a mileage of 20.51kmpl while on CNG it gives a mileage of 26 km/kg. Ertiga is good in terms of mileage. Passenger safety is said to be less due to the absence of side airbags in it.

This car will compete with Kia Carens

Maruti Ertiga will compete directly with Carens facelift. Currently, the new Carens is being tested and will be launched in India soon (Kia Carens launch date). The new model will be launched in two petrol and one diesel variants.

It will include 1.5L T-GDi petrol engine, 1.5L petrol engine and 1.5L CRDi VGT diesel engine which will get the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed iMT.

All these engines also power the current Carens (Kia Carens engine). The facelift model of Kia Carens can be introduced in the festive season this year. Recently it has been seen during testing.

A slight change can be seen in the design of the new Carens facelift. It will have new grille and headlights. Apart from this, LED connected DRLs strip and sporty bumper will also be seen. Apart from this, R16 inch dual-tone alloy wheels can be given in it.

The ex-showroom price of the existing Carens ranges from Rs 10.51 lakh to Rs 19.66 lakh (Kia Carens price). The price of the new model may increase slightly. Carens was first launched in February 2022 and has not been updated yet. But now the new model is going to be launched soon.
